Similar to how each individual line or bar in a plot can have a specific color by passing a list of color codes, can the same be done for x-axis tick labels? I am able to bold certain tick labels with the tag but I want to know if I can also assign it a specific color rather than all tick labels being the same color.

I don’t think this is directly possible. For a particular use-case you might be able to accomplish the same effect by replacing axis tick labels with annotations. Feel free to post a small example if you’d like to work through more of the details of this idea.
